2019 PTSA Student and Anton Segal Scholarship Information

To aid in the Scholarship application process we are offering the following criteria checklist required for submission.  Scholarship applications will be available for submission this month (January).

  1. PTSA Student Application Requirements:
    1. Essay: In an essay of 250 words or less, please describe an event, experience, or activity you have had or been a part of that has contributed to your personal growth and how this growth has influenced your ideals and choices in life.
    2. Transcript: A transcript is required for your application. Please request an unofficial transcript from the Registrar. The transcript does not need to be in a sealed envelope.
    3. Teacher recommendations: (2) recommendations
    4. Application –available in January
    5. Resume
  1. Anton Segal Scholarship Checklist:
    1. Personal essay:The personal essay is based on personal experience, which explores the insight, excitement, adventure, and/or fresh understanding the student derived from his or her experience with different races, civilizations, and/or nations. The student essay is the primary focus of this scholarship application. Students are encouraged to write about multiculturalism either locally or globally and how they personally have experienced it. Experience or interest in cultures (other than the familiar industrialized western democracies) shall be highly considered in awarding this scholarship. The applicant’s academics, extracurricular activities, faculty recommendations, and financial need will be considered, but only as secondary factors to the essay.

Please watch for notifications on the PTSA website for the official Scholarship application in January.  The application submission deadline is March 8th, 2019.
